While it's possible to bake the bread in a bread maker, we recommend baking in the oven for the best results and an amazing crust ♡

INSTRUCTIONS FOR OVEN:

What you will need:

-1/4 teaspoon (1g) instant dry yeast 

-1 tablespoon maple syrup or honey

-2 teaspoons neutral flavored oil (e.g. canola)

-1 1/4 cups (290ml) cold water

-Dutch Oven or Covered Pot(ø 8"/20cm)

1.Mix the dough. In a large bowl mix together baking mix and yeast. Add maple syrup or honey, oil, water and stir with your hands until blended. The dough will be sticky, which is ok.

2.Let the dough rise. Cover bowl with plastic wrap and let rest for 12 to 24 hrs at room temperature.

3.Shape the dough. Flour a work surface and place dough on it. Fold the outer sides into the center, one side at a time, until a loaf is formed. Place dough in a bowl with parchment paper, let rest for 30 mins, covered, while you preheat the oven.

4.Heat the oven & pot. Place empty covered pot (with lid) in the lower third of the oven and heat to 480˚F (250˚C) for 30 mins.

5.Bake the bread. Remove the empty covered pot from the oven (careful, it’s very hot!). Place the dough and parchment paper into the pot, cover with the lid and bake for 30 mins. Then remove the lid and bake the bread for 10-15 minutes until the desired browning.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR BREAD MAKER :

Preparation in the bread maker: Put 1 cup + 2 tablespoons (260ml) of lukewarm water, 1 tablespoon of maple syrup or honey, 1 tablespoon of neutral flavored oil, the baking mix and 1 teaspoon of instant dry yeast in the baking container.
